Most memorable experience in the field of education:

What I love is when my students have a “real” experience using their French to communicate with French speakers outside of the classroom. Even the level 1 students are surprised that their question to a native speaker gets an answer that they can understand. Students tell me they overhear people speaking French and they end up getting involved in a conversation. I love their expressions! They realize that speaking another language can open up a whole new world.
